Pam - Owner

GYROTONIC® Master Trainer and GYROKINESIS® Pre-Trainer, Pilates Teacher, Cranial Sacral Therapist, Clinical Somatic Educator in Training and Aerial Teacher

While Pam has a degree in accounting, she chooses to be a movement teacher.

Pam has been teaching Mind/body movement for over 22 years. A lifelong learner, attends and teaches at numerous training facilities in the US and abroad, Pam constantly works on workshops and courses to develop her understanding and approach to pilates and GYROTONIC® exercise. It's important to Pam to update her knowledge and to keep up to date with current training techniques.

Pam certified with Body Control Pilates® from the UK before completing STOTT Pilates® comprehensive certification including specialist coursework on Injuries and Special Population, Pre/Post Pregnancy, Scoliosis and Osteoporosis. She also holds a Pilates for Golf Specialist certification. Pam developed an Osteopilates class which she taught 14 years specifically for those with osteopenia and osteoporosis.

Pam discovered the GYROTONIC® method while living in the UK. After being recognized as a Certified teacher, she was invited to become an Authorized Pre-Trainer of both GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® methods and enjoys passing her knowledge to teachers wanting to deepen their skills and knowledge.

In preparing for a Fascial Movement workshop, Pam found a book by Martha Peterson “Move without Pain” and was curious about brain plasticity and how that relates to chronic pain.

Pam applies her vast movement knowledge working with clients having musculoskeletal injuries to elite athletes to improve performance, stamina, agility and flexibility. She believes everyone has the capacity to maximize their health and Pam supports the self-empowering and transformational process of her students.

After discovering the GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® methods with Pam Blangy, Shari studied with Master Trainer Amy Ell and Mary Williams to become a GYROKINESIS® teacher.

Her vast educational background complements her style of massage therapy. She believes that massage therapy is an interactive process between the therapist and client.  She uses her communication skills to gain the best understanding of what her client's needs are and to meet those needs.

Shari offers a wonderful combination of therapeutic and treatment massage. She uses her intuition and education to provide her clients with the most effective treatments she can.

Marita

With more than 25 years of experience teaching and coaching internationally, Marita was a competitive dancer before transitioning to Peak Pilates in 2004. She holds a comprehensive and professional certification from Peak Pilates, a leading international Pilates education company. Marita is also a Pilates Method Alliance certified teacher. Her most recent post grad work includes Neurofascia Bridge I & II & III.

In addition to Thomas Myers "Anatomy Trains" where she further advanced her appreciation of human body movements, Marita has worked in deepening her understanding of the Restoration of Fascia through Awareness and Movement. "Neurofascia is a connected system of nerves and fascia that traverses the whole body. Using a dynamic interplay of mechanics and signaling, the Neurofascia coordinates our movement, fluid dynamics, and inflammatory response. The disruption of these functions is a core factor in chronic pain, motion restriction, and nerve entrapment."

Through the integration of Fascia and Pilates, Marita can help improve body alignment, motion, and contribute to one's overall well being. Marita is available for Private Pilates sessions Tuesday and Thursday. She teaches a Structural Pilates class using the Pilates equipment Tuesdays at 8:30.
